MenWomen Water_Polo World Men 1978482 Swimmers, 73 Divers and 176 Water Polo players from 49 nations.
The Olympic Stadium and complex designed by the architect Werner March was built between 1934 and 1936 for the Olympiad. The athletic facilities were built on a 131 hectare plateau above the surrounding area. Along both sides of the pools there were stands for about 7,500 spectators. Technical installations, changing rooms and a number of organizational offces were located below the stands. Temporary bleachers were constructed for the World Championship. Total specatators: 78,000
The Weather: After the cold evening of the opening ceremony, it warmed up with beatiful sunny days until the last few days when the weather turned cold and rainy.
