Australia qualified for World Men 2015.
On 8th of July 2014, IHF Council Meeting held in Zagreb decided to allocate the spot reserved to this continent to another National Federation on the principle of Wild Card.
The real intention was to qualify Germany, taking in account the Germann TV handball audience. IHF wanted to give a chance Germany to qualify for Rio Olympic Games Olympic Men 2016.
