After Németh had opened with 57.66, Peneş exceeded her best of the
season by almost 3m with 59.92. The Hungarian, no relation to her
male counterpart Miklós, came back with a lifetime best of 60.36 with
her next throw. Both Peneş (58.36) and Janko (58.04) produced throws
in excess of 58m towards the end of the competition, but could not
overtake Németh.
